A round birthday, a dinner with friends, a family celebration or an anniversary: some evenings deserve more than good food and music. Often the guests do not all know each other – school friends meet colleagues, relatives meet neighbours. Magic gives them something to share and a story to tell afterwards. I’m Christian Lavey, a magician from Luxembourg, and I bring humorous, interactive magic for adults to your celebration.
Two ways to bring magic to your party
Close-up magic among your guests
I move between small groups or from table to table and perform just a few centimetres away from your guests. Close-up magic blends naturally into an aperitif, a cocktail reception or a relaxed dinner, and it gets people talking to each other straight away.
A magic show for everyone
If you would rather have one shared highlight, a show gathers all your guests at the same moment. Humour, surprises and audience participation create the high point of the evening – and the person celebrating is very likely to end up in the spotlight.
We choose the format and the length together, based on your programme, so the magic takes place exactly when it suits your party.
30th, 40th, 50th, 60th – or just because
Milestone birthdays are a classic occasion, but magic suits any private celebration: wedding anniversaries, family reunions, garden parties or an intimate dinner at home. The tone adapts to your guests – lively for a big party, more personal for a small circle.
At home, in a restaurant or at a venue
I travel to private celebrations all over the Grand Duchy, to Trier and to the wider Greater Region. The performance can take place in your living room, at a restaurant or in a reception hall. Tell me where you are celebrating, roughly how many guests are coming and how the evening is planned; we will then check the space and practical conditions together.

For guests from everywhere
Luxembourg parties are rarely monolingual. I can perform in English, French, German or Luxembourgish. If your friends and family speak several languages, mention it in your request and I will prepare accordingly.
A few planning tips
- Close-up works well while guests are arriving or mingling; a show works best once everyone is seated.
- Avoid scheduling the show at the same time as speeches or the cake – one highlight at a time.
- Make sure there is a place where all guests can see the performer during the show.
